I am very pleased to be joining the Mustang Family this 2016-2017 school year to teach English II at South Robeson High School. I am dedicated to working as a team to accomplish academic growth in each and every student in this wonderful school. I will try my best to carry out the school's mission:
"...to provide a safe, nurturing environment and educational opportunities that encourage students to learn, develop, and apply skills to reach their full potential." I will also promote the Public Schools of Robeson County's mission: "To educate all students by building a foundation for learning in an ever-changing global society! |
I was born and raised in Lansing, MI and have always been passionate about education. I volunteered my time as a tutor beginning in middle school and have always known that I was born to be a teacher. I am a proud graduate of Western Michigan University with a B.A. in English Secondary Education. As you can see from my CEHD Acceptance Letter, I was admitted into the program in the fall semester of 2013. Through discipline, and a lot of hard work, I completed my undergraduate degree in English: Secondary Education with my teaching certificate in a total of 3.5 years, which you can see in my Official Transcript.

My Education Philosophy has drastically changed throughout my teaching experiences. As you can see from my Program Plan and Resume, I have had a wide range of teaching opportunities to refine and gain confidence within my craft. I have also attached some of my letters of recommendation that Dr. James Bosco and Leah Thibaudeau so graciously created in appreciation of my hard work while in their classes.
Through volunteering to facilitate a workshop in a Michigan GEAR UP Conference, I landed a feature WMU's College of Education and Human Development's website in the summer of 2014.
My hard work also was recognized by the college in 2015, when I was featured in their magazine titled, "Professional Reflections."
