Behind every young child that believes in himself is a parent who believed first.

a letter to parents
Dear Concerned Parent, Guardian, or Family Member,
First off, I would like to extend a gracious thank-you! The fact that you have come to my webpage shows your dedication and involvement in your student's life. I think that is vastly important for student success. I also think that it is important for you to have access into my classroom, even through something as simple as browsing through this website.
To sum up my teaching philosophy, I value a well-rounded education and place extremely high value on creative thinking and problem-solving skills. I knew becoming an educator would mean dedicating my life to learning and always searching for new information, and I am very passionate about providing my students with the proper tools to develop a passion for learning. Our youth holds the power to change the world and we need to invest and commit the proper resources for a high-quality education for each and every student.
Feel free to contact me through the About Ms. Waldie page if you have any questions or concerns. There is a Contact Form on this page along with links to directly e-mail me and to check out my other social sites! I look forward to developing a relationship with you and your student.
Thanks again!
Susan Waldie

A call to action
Here is a video I created at Western Michigan University in the Honors Course titled "Reimagining Schooling." This will give you a glimpse into some of the values I hold in regards to a well-rounded and high quality education for our youth. The video is titled "A Call to Action: American Public Education." I am continuing to work on this video, so stay tuned for more updated versions!
